MY DIARY

A Busy Woman

Every time the days past, I always cherish it. Whether it's a bad or joyful day. Yesterday, I went out quickly to our house because I thought I am late already. It's a day of busy people, there are many things to do and many things to accomplished. Our UN competitions are very fast approaching so we must practice and ready it punctually. As a president of our class, I have many responsibilities to do. But in the end of the day, I felt a achieve something when I knew that my project would be put in the exhibit. When I came this morning, our flag ceremony is starting up. I am going to be late if I didn't walk fast. I bring with me my project that I'm worrying for. At last, when I came already in the lobby of our classroom, I actively participate our flag ceremony; especially the holy rosary. And I hope that there are many things and surprises to happen in this day of my life.

It’s now official, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino is now the 15th Philippine President. It was a festive celebration amidst the humid atmosphere in a crowd garb in yellow clothing. Unlike previous presidential inauguration, this event has been star-studded. The atmosphere was light (though security forces are a bit skeptical) and you can feel the positive vibe everywhere.

Everyone was quite eager to hear and witness P-Noy’s inaugural speech. Though I didn’t personally witnessed the event, as I was watching only through live streaming, I can actually feel the sincerity in his words… The longing to have a much better Philippines… And the optimism that we can ALL have a prosperous country in the future.

I practically half-expected that he’ll come to this point… and the other half, is Gibo (as i actually voted for him). But either whom, I’m glad that GMA is now officially out of the palace! The previous government is in a deep havoc, I must say! After hearing his speech, I am please to know that he is head-on in dealing with the country’s perpetrators. And as a citizen, I am excited to have a government better than what we used to have. The entire nation’s eyes will be fixed on how he’ll work things out but definitely, he can’t do this without our help. Though he is a symbol of hope for us Filipinos, we also have to find hope in ourselves… Not relying solely to our new President, but we also have to take part for our country’s sake. Because in the end, it’s not just HIS country but OUR country.
